Welcome to the Solidarity Team Series!

The Solidarity Team Series (STS) is an in-house, two-person team competition happening over two days. It is a virtual format, meaning the workouts can be done at any time you can get your team together to allow you to work around your schedule. Due to COVID-19, all events can be completed socially distanced or over Zoom. The winning team will be determined via the new CrossFit Games system (100 points for 1st place, 96 for 2nd…highest score wins).

The STS is designed to be appropriate for all skill levels! In fact, this is exactly what sets this competition apart: you don’t need to find a teammate, you just sign up. Then Solidarity coaching staff creates the teams via committee. Our goal in making teams is balancing the teams equally based on what we know about each athlete.

We then write the workouts so that all athletes can participate, but it is up to your team to employ your strengths effectively for the best score on each workout. This makes a really exciting and fun format!

The Schedule

New workouts will be released each Wednesday beginning on Wednesday, October 21st. You have until the following Tuesday at 8PM to submit a score.

Week 1: October 21-27
Week 2: October 28-November 3

Completing Workouts

One workout each week will be the Saturday class workout in the gym (1000) and at Washington Park (0900. If a Saturday is not possible for your team, Open Gym is also available from 0715-0840 and 1415-1540 Mon-Fri. The workouts do not have to be completed in the gym. You can use Washington Park, Charlottesville High School Track, or any other outdoor space. 

If a coach is on a team, they may open the gym during off hours to complete a workout. However, in the interest of fairness, as soon as a team knows what time they are opening the gym they must email info@solidaritycrossfit.com so that all participating members have a chance to reserve a spot.

Honor Code

We are not requiring judges for this year’s team series. We are counting on everyone to use the honor code with maintaining movement standards and appropriate weights used.

Score Submittal

Scores must be submitted via SugarWOD by 8PM on the Tuesday following the workout’s release.

  • On the SugarWOD whiteboard page select the drop down on top (by default it says “Workout of the Day”) and change it to “20XX Solidarity Team Series”.
  • The workout is scheduled for each Wednesday of the team series.
  • If you enter your score before Tuesday you can swipe right or navigate via the calendar to enter the score.
  • Please put your Team Name in the comments.
  • Only one person from each team need enter the score.
