We are participating in the upcoming WLC and are very excited! It originated at CrossFit LA and tries to “gamify” lifestyle changes and help create positive habits. While nutrition is a big component, consistent exercise, mobility, stress management, and sleep are all aspects of the overall score. You get points for consistency in these areas, as well as overall improvement in the workout (done on February 16th and again on April 13th), and improvement in body composition (as indicated by 2 measurements). We will have 2 big events to do the benchmark workout pre- and post-challenge, and I hope to have many other small events throughout the 8-week challenge (hikes, potlucks, etc.).

The more people we have participating overall, the better the events will be (AND the better our potential prize packages can be). The $45 for participating is a flat fee and covers all events over the 8-week challenge period. The helps to cover our costs of affiliating with the WLC challenge, and, if we get sufficient participation, hopefully will help go towards some sweet prizes! We will most likely have a gym-wide Q&A session on Sunday, February 10, to help make sure everyone is on the same page before we kick off.

This event is NOT limited to gym members; the more the merrier!
